What cookies are

Cookies are small text records your browser saves when you visit a site. They are used to remember your preferences (e.g. language choice), to understand how a site is used, and — on some other sites — for advertising. On qubic.hr we use cookies only for the first two purposes.

Essential cookies

Required for the basic operation of the site: remembering your cookie consent choice and language preference. Without them the site does not function correctly. Legal basis: no consent required (exemption under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive). Retention: up to 12 months. Always active and not togglable through our system (you can block them in your browser settings, but the site will not work correctly).

Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to understand how visitors use the site — which sections they read, where they leave, which devices and browsers they use. Data is pseudonymised (Google drops the last octet of the IP address for visitors from the EEA). Legal basis: your consent. Retention: up to 14 months in GA4, after which data is aggregated. Active only when you click "Accept all" or enable the Analytics category in settings.

Marketing cookies

This category exists in our consent system, but we do not currently use any marketing tools (ad pixels, retargeting, third-party advertising scripts). If we introduce such tools in the future, they will only activate after you have given prior consent for this category.

Google Consent Mode v2

Our site uses Google Consent Mode v2. This means Google Analytics does not receive identifying data about your visit until you make a cookie choice. Until then, all cookies except essential are denied by default. When you click "Accept all" or set your preferences in settings, your choice is forwarded to Google and analytics begin to run.

Managing your consent

You can change your consent at any time — there is a button further down this page that re-opens our cookie banner. From there you can change your decision or fully withdraw consent. You can also block cookies in your browser settings; instructions for doing so in each browser are available on the browser vendor's site.

Change your settings

Click the button to re-open the cookie banner. Your current choice will be cleared and the defaults restored (all cookies except essential are denied) until you decide again.
